Why it is renowned
Vogue Scandinavia called the Helen bag a perennial aiayu favourite when the house showed it in a miniature version at Copenhagen Fashion Week for spring/summer 2026.1 aiayu sells it in many plain and mixed colours.2
The story
The Helen is knitted by hand in Bolivia from llama wool, in a bubble-knit pattern.2 It is lined, with an inside pocket and a zip, and each bag is signed on the lining with the embroidered initials of the woman who knitted it.2
