Why it is renowned
JEB 65 was the vase that Jacob E. Bang, the first designer Holmegaard took on, created for the glassworks.1
The story
Jacob E. Bang studied architecture before he turned to glass.2 He designed the vase in 1965 under the name Antique Green Range: a transparent piece only 12.5 cm tall. Holmegaard later found it at the back of a shelf in its archives and reissued it, larger and in opal white, under the name JEB 65. Its shape had a narrow waist and wide shoulders.3 By 2026 it was no longer in the range.4
