The Museum of Modern Art in New York took the Rope Trick Floor Lamp into its collection.12

The story

Stefan Diez designed Rope Trick for HAY in 2013.2 It was a floor lamp whose shade was held by an upright, strengthened rope. A click device on the rope let the shade be moved, changing the distance and the intensity of the light, and the lamp used LEDs.3
